Water: Mother Earth’s Antidote to Depression

Waterfalls are one of natures many antidotes to depression. Sound cliche? Well, it’s backed by science. Let me explain…

Our human bodies are nothing more than a collection of electrical wiring housed within skin. In order to feel good, we require negatively charged ions. These ions produce biochemical reactions that support uplifted mood, relief of stress, and high energy.

Scientists have proven that “Negative ions suppress serotonin levels in much the same way that natural sunlight suppresses melatonin. Hence the invigorating effect of fresh air and sunshine and the correspondingly depressed feelings associated with being closed in and dark.”

Sadly, most modern humans are immersed daily in environments which deplete negative ions—Air conditioning, lack of adequate ventilation, dry heat, windowless rooms, and cars moving with the windows closed—Some of the worst conditions that disrupt our ratio of positive to negative ions.

What’s one of the best? Waterfalls!

The collision of water molecules with each other causes water to be positively charged and surrounding air to be negatively charged. This is why we can’t help but feel peaceful, content, happy, relaxed, and in awe around waterfalls!

The Lakota say, “Water is Life”

Fun fact:  The time before, during, and after storms are also perfectly balanced ratios of negative and positive ions.

You must learn how you work as a human, in order to make it work for you.

Want to feel good? Get outside and let nature provide. Stop relying on synthetic substances and ineffective therapies that simply don’t work because they don’t address the inherent physiology and energetics of our human bodies.

Want to know what does work? Take my hand and I will teach you. It’s easier than you think. But it requires that you unlearn all that you have been taught about health and wellness.

In the meantime, get outside and find a waterfall. This one is right in my backyard in southern CT.

Live as if someone left the gate open!

Go out and explore, and let your life begin!
